Behind the scenes of IMAX creation

This portfolio covers the entire process a web designer goes through to build and develop a website, stressing the importance of HTML, creating wireframes, optimising images, designing posters, conducting customer research, and going through a thorough step-by-step analysis to produce the finished product. The IMAXzc website aims to draw in a wide range of viewers while maintaining its focus. In order to do this, the author carefully applies a carefully chosen colour pallet intended to embody the IMAX brand and establish an emotional bond with the viewer. The website makes sure that it is easy to read and navigate for users of all abilities by using a variety of contrasting colours, including burgundies, bright and dark reds, blacks, and white, these cater to a larger audience aswell as adhere to the WCAG colour requirements which guarantee sufficient contrast between text and backround. Users are given a cinematic experience through the use of captivating indents and high-quality HD photos. However, problems with big picture and file sizes emerged during the final website speed test, affecting the functionality of the website. File optimisation and compression techniques were used to address this, which increased the speed of the website and made it easier to navigate, especially on sites with a lot of visual form material, such merchandise and screening pages.

By using descriptive picture tagging, inclusiveness is given importance, guaranteeing accessibility for people with visual impairments. Furthermore, features like forms, animations, menus, embedded YouTube links, responsive page links, and forms improve user-friendly navigation and provide a straightforward but efficient surfing experience.Sketches and Figma wireframes customised to the brand identity were provided during the web development process. In order to provide an organised and seamless flow for websites, wireframes are an essential component of website development. A strategic approach is shown by the creation of a goods range that is in line with the brand identity and the immersive cinematic experience of IMAX theatres, thereby reaching a wider target population using demographic data.

The process of coming up with ideas and gathering information from blogs, articles, and high-definition photos was used to create the content for the advertisements. This content, which was mostly created with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and stop motion techniques to provide a personalised touch to each image, item, and film cover, was used for both website analysis and promotional purposes In conclusion, this journey captures the hard efforts and thoughts needed to create a website that not only satisfies technical requirements but also emotionally connects with its audience.
